DAF dealership F&G Commercials has opened a new 5.2-acre site in Trafford Park, Manchester, following its recent acquisition of the Chatfields Manchester DAF business.
The move – a £5m investment in all – now sees the dealer offering 10 full-length truck service bays, an ATF lane, an 11,000 sq ft parts warehouse, tachograph centre, truck-wash and new equipment throughout.
Heading-up F&G Commercials’ new Trafford Park location is John Gilligan, previously regional sales manager for DAF Trucks in the North West.
“Manchester was a natural extension to our existing business,” says Gilligan, “but timing was important and the right location was absolutely crucial.”
He adds: “Local operators can expect a fresh injection of the DAF brand in the North West.”
