New fleet for Kettering Borough Council

Kettering Borough Council has taken delivery of a new fleet of 35 vehicles for its shared waste, recycling, grounds and cleansing service with Corby Borough Council.

The fleet arrived via contract hire business Specialist Fleet Services (SFS) in an order first announced in December (see link below).

The vehicles comprise refuse trucks, specialist recycling vehicles, sweepers, tipper trucks and transit vans, and all will be maintained by SFS, which has worked with Kettering Borough Council for 15 years.

Brendan Coleman, the council’s head of environmental care, says: “The vehicles look great in our new joint livery. SFS have been instrumental in helping us to select fit-for-purpose vehicles, equipped with the latest safety technology, to help us deliver the best possible service to residents across both boroughs.”
