New group formed to deliver engineering solutions to CV sector

SB Components, Priden Engineering and McPhee Mixers are collaborating under a new umbrella group to provide engineering solutions to the commercial and industrial vehicle sector.

Called the Total Vehicle Solutions (TVS) Group, it promises “a one-stop shop” for specialist engineering and manufacturing services and products, which it will deliver to customers across the UK and continental Europe.

Each company will retain its brand and identity, but will work together as part of the TVS Group, which is headed by group managing director James Warren and which has annualised revenues of £50m.

In a statement, TVS says each of the companies will share premises and expertise, enabling them to broaden the range of services and products on offer. It is also “exploring potential acquisitions”.

“TVS Group is set to become a major force in delivering specialist manufacturing solutions for the commercial and industrial vehicle industry,” declares Warren.

“TVS Group will help simplify our customers’ supplier relationships and provide them with high-quality, cost-effective solutions from multiple sites across the UK and Europe.

“I am excited about working closely with the management of each Company as we look to grow the group.”

SB Components, based in Wisbech (pictured), supplies components and bodywork for chassis from 3.5 to 32 tonnes.

Priden Engineering, also of Wisbech, delivers bespoke engineering for rigids up to full trailer configurations.

Glasgow-based McPhee Mixers designs and manufactures truck-mounted concrete mixer units.
