Danish manufacturer Garia, best known for its high-spec golf carts, has launched a new range of road-legal utility vehicles and appointed Oldham-based ePower Trucks to distribute them in the UK.
With the Utility City, Garia becomes the first manufacturer of its kind to offer a lithium-powered utility vehicle – a litium-ion option can replace the standard 8x6V lead acid pack, reducing recharge time and vehicle weight.
It has a top speed of 45kph (28mph) and a range of up to 75km (45miles) on a single charge.
Designed for urban operations, the vehicle measures just 1.31m wide and 3.23m long, with a turning radius of 3.25m. The flatbed has a payload of up to 740kg. Other body options include mesh cage, drop sides, tipper, and a fully enclosed van with rear and side doors.
Jerry Hanss, managing director of ePower Trucks, says the vehicle is ideal for last-mile deliveries and urban operations.
