Commercial vehicle component manufacturer Pailton Engineering says it is moving towards achieving ISO/TS 16949:2009, the quality management system for the automotive industry.
The Coventry-based business, which makes bespoke steering systems and components for global automotive and commercial vehicle OEMs, believes the ISO/TS accreditation is an important endorsement for the sector as it combines standards from across Europe and the US.
Pailton has worked to BS EN ISO 9001:2008 for many years and operates its own test facilities and management systems.
In-house validation testing includes torsional testing, tensile load testing, rig testing and strain gauging, lifecycle and rapid life cycle testing. Bespoke testing to customer-specific requirements can be carried out if required.
