Soanes Poultry has taken delivery of its latest fleet addition, a 7.2-tonne IVECO Daily 72C chassis cab with insulated body built by Paneltex.
The East Yorkshire-based chicken business also specified a GAH J503 direct drive refrigeration system for the vehicle, which joins its 13-strong fleet.
The lightweight 7.2-tonne vehicle is a departure for the operator, which usually specifies 7.5-tonners. However, the kerb weight of the Paneltex body on the IVECO chassis is 3,580kg, with a 3,620kg payload.
Soanes chose Hull-based Paneltex for its ability to deliver a bespoke service and its proximity. “We pride ourselves on buying goods and services as locally as possible,” says Nigel Upson, Soanes’ general manager (pictured, left, with Chris Berridge, MD of Paneltex).
