Supplied by dealer Walton Summit, of Preston, the order comprises 22 Doblo Cargo vans and 10 Doblo Work Up vehicles.
The Work Ups operate in and around London, and have been fitted with lightweight tail-lifts – by Fosters Commercials, Preston – to enable delivery and collection of larger equipment in urban areas.
The Doblo Cargo vans are mostly standard wheelbase variety, with 1.3-litre MultiJet II turbo diesel engine. Some deliver surveying equipment to construction and utilities companies, for A-Plant's Survey Hire Express division.
Shaun Winstanley (pictured right), A-Plant's director of transport, says the business needs vehicles that are "capable, versatile and very dependable", and adds: "The Fiat Doblò Cargo fits the bill perfectly, because it also manages to offer extremely low running costs and a substantial payload within its compact shape."
