Prometeon Tyre Group strengthens UK team with key appointments

Prometeon Tyre Group, a leading company in the commercial, agricultural and OTR tyre sectors, has announced two key appointments within its UK team as the company continues to expand and reinforce its market presence.
Prometeon Tyre Group has strengthened its UK team with key appointments, including Emma Hawley as chief financial officer (CFO)

The tyre manufacturer said that these strategic moves demonstrate Prometeon's commitment to strengthening its support for customers and enhancing partnerships across the UK and Ireland.

The new appointments are Emma Hawley as chief financial officer (CFO), UK & Eire, and Darren Heywood as national account manager.

With these appointments, Prometeon said it further bolsters its leadership and sales teams, bringing extensive industry experience and deep knowledge of the UK tyre market.

Emma Hawley has been with the company for eight years. Starting as a part-time senior credit controller, she has steadily risen through the ranks to her new position as CFO. Her background in finance, combined with a deep understanding of Prometeon's business model, makes her well-positioned to drive the company's commercial strategy. Emma's promotion also marks an important step in diversifying the senior leadership team.

"I've always felt valued and supported at Prometeon, and I'm looking forward to contributing further to the company's outstanding performance," she said.

A significant milestone is Emma’s simultaneous appointment as a company director. She is currently the only female director in Prometeon's UK leadership, bringing diversity and a fresh perspective to the senior management team.

“Being appointed as a director is a great opportunity," said Hawley. "It's a testament to the company's belief in my abilities and the value I can bring to the organisation at a strategic level."

Darren Heywood steps into the role of national account manager after eight years as a regional BDM. The company said his track record of success in the Southwest positions him perfectly to manage national fleet accounts and develop new business opportunities.

“Prometeon is like family to me, and I'm excited to take on this new challenge," he said. "I'll be focusing on expanding our national accounts and building strong partnerships with fleet operators across the country."

Steve Tift, managing director of Prometeon Tyre Group UK, said: "These appointments reflect our commitment to recognising talent and investing in our team. Emma and Darren both bring significant expertise, and their contributions will be instrumental in driving Prometeon's continued success in the UK market."

The appointments come at a key period for Prometeon as the company continues to expand its portfolio and enhance its premium tyre offerings, following the recent launch of its own-branded Serie 02 tyres.
