Rachel Bullen joins ARI to help customers face compliance challenge

Fleet management firm ARI has appointed Rachel Bullen to the newly-created role of transport compliance manager to help its fleet customers manage the increasing demands of legislation and compliance.

Bullen, who has more than 30 years’ experience running fleets and chairs a number of industry bodies, will be working with customers to establish and streamline compliance processes, and help them ensure their vehicles and drivers remain legal and safe during operation.

“Compliance over the past few years, especially around O-Licence, has become increasingly complex for many fleets. A lot of companies, especially those who are running increasing numbers of vans, are now having to navigate this challenging area, when previously they did not,” says Bullen.

“It is our job at ARI to help these companies, making administration as efficient as possible for them, helping them with governance, providing guidance and ensuring their procedures are watertight.”

With her experience across many mixed commercial fleets, her appointment is the cornerstone of ARI’s increased investment in the area of compliance management, and providing access to expertise and experience for fleets of all sizes.

Before joining ARI, Bullen was fleet compliance and risk manager at utility Cadent Gas, which provides services to 11 million homes across the UK, and previously was national training instructor at Logistics UK (formerly FTA). She continues to be chair of both the van excellence governance group and van policy working group for Logistics UK.
