Mercedes-Benz Vans UK is reporting a record start to 2017, with van registrations for the first quarter up by 18% on the same period last year.
In addition, March figures were up by 12% – the brand’s second best month ever on record.
The top Mercedes model for Q1 was the Vito – up by 44% compared to Q1 2016 – while the Citan (pictured) bucked the trend for the small van market, which has decreased by 13% so far this year, with its registrations up by 7%.
Last month was also a record month for Mercedes-Benz Financial Services, with almost £50 million of new and used vans funded.
Steve Bridge, managing director of Mercedes-Benz Vans UK, says: “I always say that as a brand, we have the right products, people and processes to keep our customers’ businesses moving, so to have these outstanding figures across the board so far this year, proves that to be the case.”
