The three new arrivals – the first Renault trucks to join the Pangbourne-based operator's 37-strong tipper fleet – are Range C430 8x4s with Wilcox Wilcosteel tipping bodies. They were supplied by dealer Renault Trucks South.
Seven more Range Cs have been specified with Fitzgerald tipping bodies, and one with a body by PPG Aluminium Fabrications.
Richard Hazell, managing director, says the Range C was a "clear favourite" with drivers. "It was as though the vehicle had been built specifically for the tipper trade, and we loved that the gearbox automatically selected the right ratio for the work we do."
He adds: "We will be looking at fuel efficiency figures when the trucks have been out for a few more weeks, but early mpg figures are good and we hope this will improve further as the vehicles run in."
