Renault Range D is slick operator for Oil Monster

Rigids Tankers
Waste oil recycling business Oil Monster has taken delivery of two Renault Range D trucks, with two more on order, after positive reports from its sister company J&G Environmental.

Supplied by dealer JDS Trucks, the 18-tonne 250bhp Range Ds are supplied with a full R&M contract. The vehicles have COBO tanks supplied and fitted by HDE, in Castleford.

The trucks are additions to Deeside-based Oil Monster’s fleet, and are collecting waste oil across the country, mainly for the automotive and engineering industries.

Mick Arnold, fleet engineer for CSG – Oil Monster’s parent company – says: “Previously we have experienced issues with trucks being too big to fit down smaller streets and access points. This is where the Range D comes into its own – its manoeuvrability is excellent and the size of the truck is ideal while still retaining an excellent payload.”

The Range D also delivers on safety, reliability and driver comfort, he adds, with drivers already reporting improved fuel consumption, too.
