Renault Trucks rewards top young apprentices

Renault Trucks UK has recognised top performers in its Advanced Apprenticeship Options Programme at its Apprentice of the Year awards and graduation.
Held at the Renault Trucks UK head office in Dunstable, the awards were presented to the highest achieving apprentice technicians in each of the three years of its scheme. The ceremony also celebrated completion of the course by 12 of the apprentices, who received their graduation certificates. Winners of the Apprentice of the Year awards were: Patrick Yarnold, of Renault Trucks Essex, for Year One; Jake Blackstaffe, of Renault Trucks Chiltern, for Year Two; and Harry Crouch, of Renault Trucks Bristol, for Year Three. "All of our apprentices have worked hard to develop their skills, both in the classroom and in the dealerships that employ them," comments Brian Burns, training manager at Renault Trucks UK. The Awards ceremony is a great opportunity to recognise their performance and dedication and, for our graduates, to mark a significant milestone on their career path," he adds. The Renault Trucks Advanced Apprentice Options Programme is delivered in conjunction with training partner, Remit, and now has 54 apprentice technicians. It integrates six programmes made up of heavy vehicle technician, heavy vehicle trailer technician, parts consultant, business administration, service advisor and the recently launched light/heavy commercial vehicle sales. "The involvement of the dealer network is crucial, and we have recently set up a programme steering group, made up of apprentices from the programme, representatives from our training partner Remit and managers across the dealer network," continues Burns. This group looks at results, requirements, feedback and investment, reporting into the Renault Trucks UK partnership board."
