The Road Haulage Association has teamed up with Vision Express to offer its members free eye examinations at any UK branch.
It comes on the heels of a recent police campaign to encourage motorists to check their eyesight to ensure they can read a number plate from 20 metres.
Police forces in the Thames Valley, Hampshire and West Midlands will be carrying out roadside eyesight checks this month.
RHA chief executive Richard Burnett says: “Road safety is our number one priority and any measures to make roads even safer are a good thing for all of us. Diagnosing poor eyesight saves lives.”
RHA members can apply for a free test by clicking the link below.
Non-members can also have a free eye test by visiting the Vision Van, a mobile unit travelling around the country. The van is at Knutsford TruckFest, in Cheshire, on 15 and 16 September.
