Royal Mail goes for green gauge

Royal Mail is the latest organisation to join the Logistics Carbon Reduction Scheme (LCRS).

The LCRS is a voluntary programme managed by the Freight Transport Association (FTA) registers the efforts of industry to cut carbon emissions and contribute to national carbon reduction targets.

Paul Gatti, Royal Mail’s fleet director, says: “Royal Mail takes carbon reduction very seriously and is already undertaking a wide range of initiatives to improve fuel efficiency and reduce vehicle kilometres.

“Working with other fleet operators through the LCRS will help us to share best practice and identify the best ways to reduce our carbon footprint.”

The LCRS is free to join and, says FTA, is suitable for any fleet size. Click the link below for more information.
