Ryder is increasing its trailer rental fleet with 60 new 13.6 metre tri-axle single compartment refrigerated trailers.
David Hunt, managing director of Ryder Europe, says tThe order has been split between Montracon (40) and Schmitz Cargobull (20).
All the reefers will have a 2.6 metre internal loading height, he explains, with one piece sealed aluminium floors for ease of cleaning, Carrier Vector 1550s refrigeration units and Datacold temperature recorder with printer.
"We already have nearly 400 refrigerated trailers in our rental fleet, but a high level of customer demand has prompted us to make a significant investment in increasing our capacity," states Hunt.
The new trailers will be available to both rental and contract hire customers.
