Scania delivers the full package for coach operators

Bus & Coach
The latest two recipients of Scania coaches have both cited service and support as reasons for selecting the manufacturer’s vehicles.

Nottingham-based coach and tour operator Skills has taken delivery of six new Scania vehicles: three Scania K 360 IB4x2 chassis with Irizar Century bodies and three Scania K 410 EB6x2*4 Touring HD tri-axle coaches.

An existing Scania customer, Skills says the vehicles perform well and are backed up by excellent service: "Nothing is too much trouble for them," says Pete Hallam, operations director.

Cavendish Coaches, meanwhile, has acquired another touring coach from Scania, a K 360 IB 4x2 chassis equipped with a 360bhp Euro 5 engine and fitted with Irizar i6 12.45-metre executive specification bodywork.

Owner Steve Hollister says the Irizar's customer appeal and Scania's repair and maintenance programme are a strong combination.

"We are pleased to take delivery of another Scania Irizar i6," he says. "We have run Scania for a few years now and are more than happy with the product and service."

Aftersales support for the vehicle is provided by Keltruck, Cardiff.
