Scot JCB ramps up reliability with Isuzu Forward

Rigids
Machinery distribution business Scot JCB has taken delivery of its first Isuzu vehicle, a Forward N75.190 (E) 7.5-tonne rigid, citing the brand’s reliability and customer recommendations as reasons for the choice.

Supplied by dealer Imperial Commercials (Glasgow), the new vehicle is fitted with an LVB-designed beavertail body with a front body-mounted winch, so that it can also be used for recovery situations when necessary.

“We decided to switch to the Isuzu marque for this replacement vehicle not just because they have a good professional name within the industry, but because we also talked to some of our customers who operate them and were highly complimentary about their payload, performance and reliability,” says Andy Campbell, Scot JCB’s service manager.

Dealer service has been “excellent”, he says, adding: “Now on the road, the vehicle is performing extremely well, giving us the level of reliable operation that we require for our delivery and collection business.”

Based at Scot JCB’s head office in Glasgow, the Isuzu is expected to be in operation for eight years, covering 40,000km per annum.
