Sprinter is clear winner for property security firm

Kent-based property security business Clearway has acquired two Mercedes-Benz Sprinters to add to its 30-strong fleet.
The latest additions are medium-length Sprinter 316 CDI models, with 163bhp engines mated to six-speed ECO Gear manual transmissions, and were supplied by dealer Sparshatts of Kent. Clearway specifies its Mercedes-Benz vans with the Eco start-stop function, which turns off the engine when the vehicle is stationary in traffic – the driver depresses the clutch to restart it. The company switched to Mercedes-Benz Sprinters in 2009. Leigh Hooper, Clearway's head of sales, explains: "We made the change four years ago because we had issues with the reliability and running costs of our previous vehicles. By contrast, not only have our Sprinters given us no trouble at all, they've also proved very economical to operate." Clearway funded the two Sprinters through Mercedes-Benz Financial Services.
