The SmartPack efficiency technology delivers a 24% well-to-wheel greenhouse gas saving compared with a conventional Euro V equivalent, as validated by the Zemo Partnership which has certified the Enviro200 as a low-emission bus.

The latest additions to the Squarepeg fleet are 10.8m examples of the type, seating 40 passengers. They have entered service on the operator’s contracted routes in West Yorkshire. Their purchase follows four similar vehicles last summer.

Squarepeg Buses managing director Simon Daymond said: “The Enviro200 is the workhorse of our bus fleet – easy to maintain and economical to operate. Last year’s four new buses have been great performers for us, so it was a very logical choice for us to continue to invest in further Enviro200.”

Dave Sellars, sales support manager for Alexander Dennis, added: “Thanks to Simon for the repeat business and the longstanding cooperation. We’re proud to support Squarepeg Buses as it continues to deliver quality bus services from its base in Leeds.”
