Steadplan in Clitheroe has opened a new satellite MAN Truck & Bus service centre in Rochdale, on Chichester Street, less than ten minutes from junctions 20 and 21 of the M62 and close to the M66, M60, M61 and A627M.
Jeremy McGrath, operations director at Steadplan says it has taken a £100,000 investment and adds that the one-acre, ex-Leach Commercials site, has a fully equipped workshop and all-makes parts stock, and offers 24-hour vehicle recovery.
"We're seeing real signs of economic growth in the area," says McGrath, "and that's because of Rochdale's prime position within the UK road network – making it ideal for warehouse and distribution companies."
Facilities include: pit and flat bay working areas; brake testing; steam cleaning; full MOT preparation; digital tachograph and road speed limiter facilities; and fault diagnosis and test equipment, covering engine, drive-train, brake system, suspension and ancillaries for various makes.
