Hingley Transport, which is the largest private steel transport firm in the West Midlands, now has seven new Renault Premium 460.25 6x2 tractive units, making more than half its 60-strong fleet Renault trucks.
Supplied by Renault Trucks Midlands, its new additions will be used to deliver steel products nationwide, under contracts with TDG and Corus Steel UK.
Hingley finance director Dave Smith explains that the firm has had Renault Premiums and Magnums on its fleet since 2000.
"Our new vehicle choice is based on whole life cost and experience," he says. "We have very little vehicle downtime with the Renaults and the back up and service from Renault Trucks Midlands is excellent."
And he adds: "The Renault service network is an integral part of our business and, as well as the trucks, Renault Trucks Midlands services our 140-strong fleet of trailers."
