Freight and Logistics Minister Stephen Hammond will address the some of the road transport industry's most senior executives at the 2013 Commercial Vehicle Forum, to be held at London's British Museum on 22 October 2013.
At the afternoon event, personalities from the industry, together with representatives from the national media and market analysts, will discuss the industry's hottest topics with panelists from the technology, retail and logistics sectors, chaired by broadcaster Justin Webb.
Established last year by CV Show partners SMMT (the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders), RHA (Road Haulage Association) and IRTE Services, the 2013 Commercial Vehicle Forum is set to run in a Question Time format, trackling business efficiency in road transport and how the UK can lead the European road transport sector.
Operators and vehicle manufacturers are constantly adapting to an environment of lower margins, more stringent legislation and higher customer expectations. So the organizers say that discussion will address challenges and opportunities around issues such as sustainability, compliance and technology integration. Government policy, skills shortages, the changing commercial environment and funding issues will also be covered.
