The wireless columns allow their technicians to set up the lifts without the need to connect cables, helping streamline workflow and saving time and effort. Crucially, without cables on the floor, the risk of accidents in the workshop is reduced, contributing to a safer working environment for all personnel.
To complement the lifting facilities offered by the column lifts, a set of tall axle stands and a set of medium height axle stands were also ordered. This gives the option of removing the mobile columns to provide free wheel support or to act as an additional support with the columns still in place.
Each of the mobile columns offer a lifting capacity of 7.5 tonnes, providing an overall safe lifting capacity of 30 tonnes for the set. The mobile columns incorporate Stertil-Koni’s ebright Smart Control System, allowing workshop engineers to operate the columns individually, in pairs, or in any other combination from any column in the set. Positioning of the mobile columns is also flexible, enabling them to be used in any configuration around a vehicle.
Featuring colour touch screen consoles, the ebright Smart Control System has been developed to simplify operation by providing visual information about every lifting operation.
The Stertil-Koni ST1075FWA heavy-duty lift is powered by long-life deep cycle batteries, which are said to provide optimum performance for at least a week on average before recharging is necessary. Additionally, battery life is prolonged because power is only used to raise a vehicle, so less time is spent recharging the lift. Charging is carried out by plugging each individual lift into a 230v single phase supply.
Supplied with adjustable width forks, the Stertil-Koni ST1075FWA is expected to meet the challenge of lifting vehicles with differing tyre widths.
