Chilled food supplier Fife Creamery has taken delivery of 12 Mercedes-Benz Atego 7.5-tonne trucks, fitted with temperature-controlled bodies from Gray & Adams.
All have insulated, single-temperature Gray & Adams bodies: five are new, while seven of the bodies were remounted from chassis that are now out of use.
Fitted with Carrier Supra 750 refrigeration units, the new bodies usually operate as chillers but are also used to carry frozen products at temperatures as low as -25°C.
Richard Wishart, logistics manager for Kirkaldy-based Fife Creamery, says business growth spurred the need for more vehicles for its 30-strong Mercedes fleet.
"Gray & Adams is a longstanding and valued supplier," he adds.
"Its products are built to a very high standard. We tend to replace our chassis after four years, but the bodies are always good for a second life."
The Mercedes chassis were supplied by dealer Western Commercial.
