TIP acquires trailer fleet from Stockport Truck Centre

STC's fleet is predominantly curtainsided trailers, but there is also a selection of refrigerated, box van and skeletal trailers. All existing rental agreements will continue without change. "With many of the trailers being recent acquisitions in 2012 and 2013, the deal with STC enables us to incorporate a significantly younger trailer rental fleet into the TIP trailer portfolio," says TIP's commercial director, Mike Furnival (pictured, left, with STC's Gareth Hardy). STC will now focus on providing repair and maintenance services to transport and logistics firms. It has recently opened a new bodyshop in north Manchester, and offers ATF/VOSA testing and tachograph facilities.
