Tructyre rolls out Ctrack Online

Commercial vehicle tyre business Tructyre Fleet Management is rolling out the Ctrack Online vehicle tracking system across its 150-strong fleet of vans and HGVs.

The web-based system will be used alongside Tructyre’s existing FleetCheck fleet management system, with Ctrack delivering driver performance and fleet productivity data.

“We were looking for an end-to-end telematics solution that would enable us to engage and educate our staff to drive safer and more efficiently,” says Scott Matthews, logistics and fleet executive at Tructyre.

As well as improving driver behaviour, he says, Ctrack will help the business to target savings, “such as reduced fuel usage, wear and tear and insurance premiums”.

Ctrack Online will be used centrally, from Tructyre’s Eastleigh, Hampshire HQ, and across a network of 24 depots.

The system’s driver behaviour indicator (DBI) provides in-vehicle feedback on driving style. A traffic light display gives warnings for infringements – from harsh acceleration, braking and cornering to travelling too quickly over speed humps and excess idling – while a sustained period of responsible driving will enable lights to be cleared.

Employees can also use the Driver Mobi app to see individual scores, including a breakdown of driving events, as well as company and depot averages.

Tructyre will use Ctrack’s Live Productivity Dashboard and Executive Dashboard for overviews of daily activity and business-critical data.

“What was important was to choose a telematics partner that could deliver a solution that was right for us today, while having the capabilities to adapt to our changing needs as we expand,” says Matthews.

“The team at Ctrack has ensured that implementation has been straightforward, without needless disruption, with ongoing support provided by the account management and analytics teams to help us maximise our return on investment.”
