Vauxhall's new Vivaro van was unveiled yesterday at the Commercial Vehicle Show (29 April to 1 May), with panel van and double cab styles on display to visitors.
The new Vivaro, says Vauxhall, combines the functionality of a light commercial vehicle with the comfort of a passenger car and includes technology such as a laptop holder and Intellilink 'infotainment' system.
Variants include two lengths and heights, giving increased load capacity, and new turbo diesel engines.
These are the 1.6CDTi (90 or 115bhp) and the 1.6 BiTurbo CDTi (120 or 140bhp), which has sequential turbocharging and a twin-cooler system, delivering fuel consumption of up to 49.5mpg with 149g/km CO2.
An optional 'eco' driving mode can also be activated to further improve fuel performance.
At 1,500 rpm, the 120bhp BiTurbo generates maximum torque of 320Nm and the 140bhp version delivers 340Nm.
The new Vivaro is built at Vauxhall's Luton plant, which has seen a €200 million investment to bring the new model to production.
Also debuting at the event this week are the Combo L2H2, and 4x4 and parcel van conversions of the Movano.
