Glasgow dealer Western Commercial has won a three-way contest to land an order for a fleet of 17 Mercedes-Benz Vito vans from W Munro (Rehab).
Gordon Munro, sales director for the rehabilitation products supplier, explains that the firm's vehicle contract team chose Mercedes-Benz, due to build quality and competitive whole life running costs.
"It very quickly became clear that the Vito ticked all the right boxes in terms of practicality, driver acceptability, safety and fuel efficiency," comments Munro. "But it was the free service package that clinched the deal."
Most of the new vehicles will be Vito 110CDI models, powered by 96bhp engines. These vans meet the latest Euro 5 emissions standard.
Also, as well as producing 13% less CO2 than the Euro 4 model, the new 110CDI is 4.5mpg more frugal than its predecessor.
