VOSA (the Vehicle and Operators Services Agency), IRTE (the Institute of Road Transport Engineers) and Findlay Media are together publishing a guide to ATFs (Authorised Testing Facilities) as a supplement to Transport Engineer.
The VOSA ATFs guide will be circulated with the December issue of Transport Engineer magazine, providing advice for workshops and DPs (Designated Premises) considering becoming ATFs.
Information included will cover site and equipment requirements, contractual issues and help available from VOSA.
Meanwhile, for ATF users and their transport managers and engineers, the publication will highlight locations of the new-style testing facilities, offer pricing guidelines and provide practical information on how to best prepare vehicles and drivers for testing under the updated Testing Directive.
