Andover Trailers has been described as the best in the business by a Cardiff-based haulier, after it took delivery of a tandem axle semi-sloping step frame semi-trailer.
All four of Falcon Low Loaders' trailers have been constructed by the trailer manufacturer.
Falcon's new trailer has been built to transport heavy machinery across the UK and will be based at the company's depot in Marshfield, near Cardiff.
Peter Pesticcio, owner of Falcon Low Loaders, explains that the SFSL 30.5 trailer was specified with a tandem axle to ensure that it can navigate narrow machinery yards.
Other features include a low profile neck with semi-sloping frame and beavertail, Gigant drum brake axles with air suspension and manual raise/lower control valves.
The trailer also comes with Knorr-Bremse EBS and 1.2m wide power toe ramps with access toes. A Ramsey DC34.9 electric winch with remote and radio control has also been fitted to ease the loading and unloading of machinery.
"I bought my first plant trailer from Andover Trailers back in 1986 and have bought nine in total," comments Pesticcio. "Quite simply, they make the best in the business.
"I am passionate when it comes to heavy haulage, so I need to work with a company that shares my passion," he continues.
