GPS tracker ideal for operators using contract hire

Transport managers now have access to a portable and cost-effective system for monitoring fleets, following the launch of a GPS tracking system that can be transferred from vehicle to vehicle.
Dubbed Bubble Tracker, from the company of the same name, it's being billed as perfect for companies that regularly use contract hire. The device also emerged as the cheapest option for vehicle tracking, according to figures released by Trackcompare in January. Bubble Tracker uses GPS satellite tracking to produce live snapshots of a vehicle's position, as well as storing historical data that can be transferred to an Excel spreadsheet. The system monitors multiple vehicles, and alerts can be set that are triggered when a vehicle travels beyond a pre-set area. "Many of our customers use Bubble Trackers to monitor their flexi fleet vehicles, because it is so simple to install and can be easily used by those without any technical knowledge," comments Jamie Ellwood, managing director of Bubble Tracker. "Another popular feature with our customers is the use of historical data which allows them to monitor staff location and duration of lunch breaks," he adds.
