Montracon has lifted the wraps on its jumbo refrigerated trailer, evidently designed to meet increasing calls from some operators for greater carrying capacity within a 13.6m overall length.
A straight frame trailer, the internal height of 3,200mm and 150m3 of load space together provide the ability to carry an additional 26 UK or 33 Euro pallets, or a combination of both, on removable, adjustable-height decking beams, supported by strengthened side panels.
Higher capacity Carrier or ThermoKing fridge units are being offered as standard, with dual-fuel tanks slung beneath the trailer frame as an option.
Speaking at the launch of the jumbo trailer, Montracon's sales and marketing director Paul Mead said: "The jumbo trailer fills a gap in our otherwise comprehensive refrigerated range.
"In particular, it will appeal to operators moving fast food and supplying RDCs, a point reinforced by the fact that we have already taken our first order, for 20, from a major third party logistics provider serving these sectors."
