Wabco has announced new transmission automation technology that it claims will bring fuel savings of up to 5% and reduce emissions by optimising gear shifts.
Nikhil Varty, Wabco vice president Americas states that Wabco's new technology improves driver effectiveness – particularly with less experienced drivers – and also enhances vehicle safety by freeing drivers from frequent shifting, so allowing them to concentrate on traffic.
