White sound reversing alarms are safer, quieter and now also cheaper, according to Brigade Electronics, which has slashed its prices.
Brigade director of marketing Tom Brett says the firm is phasing out beeping alarms on the grounds of safety and social responsibility.
White sound alarms do not cause a noise nuisance, he insists, and have even been endorsed by the Noise Abatement Society and approved by PIEK for quiet night time deliveries.
The sound dissipates quickly which means 'you only hear it when it matters', unlike beeping reversing alarms.
"White sound reversing alarms use broadband frequencies that give greater directional information to the ear, allowing the listener to instantly locate where the sound is coming from and take evasive action," comments Brett.
