ZFA27000064004090 to ZFA2700006426460: Vehicles fitted with rear brake drums may suffer contamination of the brake lining and compromised braking performance, due to the entry of water and detritus into the drum through the back plate. Affected vehicles need a gasket fitted to the back plate, where the handbrake cable enters the brake drum through the back plate.

Warning of potential fire due to the fuel return pipe potentially contacting the engine sound insulation cover. This may cause a deterioration of the pipe and if not rectified a leak of fuel. Fit a holding fastener to the fuel return pipe
Under certain circumstances, there might be water ingress into the control unit of the overnight/parking heater, which may cause a short circuit. In extreme circumstances this may result in a fire. Recall affected vehicles and replace the control unit with a quality assured component.
The brake pipe unions (air nipples) on the parking/hand brake system have been tightened above the specified torque setting. This could result in the unions failing and cause an unintentional deployment of the parking/hand brake. Recall all affected vehicles, where the unions will be replaced and the correct torque setting applied.
A batch of vehicles converted by SVP have been fitted with a split charging system, the relays of which may not be to specification and so could fail, potentially resuting in wiring loom damage and fire. Although SVP has approached 89 customers and supplied revised parts, Ford is contacting the owners of outstanding vehicles to emphasise the importance of getting in touch with the convertor for rework.
Incorrectly fitted panhard rod mounting bolts may fail and lead to the rear axle developing lateral movement. Recall the vehicles that are likely to be affected to fit new panhard rod mounting bolts to the correct torque.
Wheel studs of Hendrickson axles fitted with 17.5 inch wheels were tightened to a torque higher than that specified. It is therefore possible that the wheel studs have stretched. In this condition the wheel may no longer be secure. Suspect vehicles need to have wheel studs and nuts replaced.
Braking performance may be affected on vehicle IDs: VF3******64003062 to VF3******9Z026871. Water may ingress the brake drums, causing premature brake lining wear and thus reducing the braking effort at the rear wheels. Recalled vehicles should have a seal fitted to the handbrake cable, and subject brake linings replaced.
Braking performance may be affected on vehicle IDs: VF7******64003036 to VF7******9z027043. Water may ingress the brake drums, causing premature brake lining wear and thus reducing the braking effort at the rear wheels. Recalled vehicles should have a seal fitted to the handbrake cable, and subject brake linings replaced.
Owners/operators of Mercedes-Benz Axors built between January 2004 and December 2005are at risk of fire, due to heavy corrosion in the interior of the starter motor that may develop following frequent starting procedures or very high mileages – resulting in damage to the starter wiring harness routed below the choke housing.
Mercedes-Benz Axors built between January 2008 and December 2009 are at risk of wheel detachments: wheel studs on Hendrickson axles fitted with 17.5 inch wheels were...
Sprinters built between January 2006 and December 2008 are at risk of fire, due to the fleece filter insert of the engine oil separator becoming obstructed with dirt particles. An increase in pressure within the crankcase may occur with the result that oil could escape onto hot engine parts.
Some MAN Truck TGA, TGS and TGX are subject to inadvertent application of the parking brake, having been fitted with faulty Voss air distributor check valves, which do not afford reliable protection to the prime mover parking brake system, if the trailer air supply lines becoming holed or torn away., resulting in rear wheel lock.
Owners and operators of DAF FTPCF85, FTPXF95 and FTPXF105 vehicles are warned that wheel bearings fitted to the second axle may fail, due to repairs carried out on the hub seals, where the bearings have not been replaced. Advice is to recall the vehicles and replace the full set of wheel bearings.
