The passenger anti-trap mechanism may fail when the pneumatic doors are depowered. A design error stops the sensing working on the door when it is depowered; if an object/person is in the centre of the door frame at the depowering moment they could be pinched. Remedial work involves recalling vehicles that are likely to be affected and fit bridging cables to modify the door valve and enable the sensor to keep detecting obstructions until the door is fully closed.
