Called the Extreme, the model was on display at the IAA Commercial Vehicles show last month, in Hanover (20-27 September).
Manufactured from highly durable, wear-resistant steel, the Extreme is said to be ideal for transporting abrasive materials such as car wrecks, bulky construction debris, electric motors or engine blocks.
The trailer has a self-supporting construction, with a high-strength steel chassis. Knapen says the self-supporting construction makes the Extreme lighter than other alternatives on the market.
The trailer has steel rear doors, but no rear upper beam – making it easier to load heavy materials through the rear doors. Other features include a retractable rear light plate that can be operated with a remote control
Different types of heavy-duty moving floors can be specified, according to the intended application, including the Keith V9, Keith V18 and the new Cargo Floor Flat Steel X floor, shown at IAA.
