Logistics firm Knowles Transport has supplemented its fleet following the recent purchase of 50 Volvo FH460 turbo compound vehicles – the largest single order in company history.
The vehicles have been ordered in response to the increased growth in demand for its services as well as a part of their fleet replacement programme. A third, 33, of the 50 will act as replacement vehicles and the additional 17 will be to augment growth.
The new vehicles are equipped with Volvo’s ‘I-Save’ technology, this incorporates Volvo’s turbo compound engine with the latest fuel saving package.
All vehicles on order will be fitted with forward and side facing cameras for increased safety.
Knowles operates on a five-year replacement policy, and all its vehicles have been purchased alongside a five-year repair and maintenance contract under which they will be serviced by the Volvo Truck and Bus, Ely.
