Volvo Trucks shows progress at CLOCS event

Volvo Trucks showcased four trucks including its Volvo FE low entry cab (LEC) at yesterday’s CLOCS Progress event (14 March; ExCel, London).

The vehicle display was designed to show operators the various heights and driving positions of the FM and FMX construction truck range, how these compare with its FE LEC, and how all meet the mayor of London’s proposed Direct Vision standard.

It’s the first time that Volvo has presented the FE LEC fitted with a construction body, in this case a CIFA 6m3 mixer. The FE LEC is fully air suspended and is 200mm lower than the standard FE model.

Also making its debut was the fully air suspended FM 8x4 – a ‘low’ construction vehicle, available with either an 11- or 13-litre engine, rated from 330 to 500bhp, and with a window in the lower nearside door.

Volvo Trucks also participated in a Q&A session as part of the CLOCS Progress seminar schedule.
