Highlands & Islands Airports Ltd is an organisation based in Inverness and has airports at Barra, Benbecula, Campbeltown, Dundee, Inverness, Islay, Kirkwall, Stornoway, Sumburgh, Tiree and Wick. The Company is owned by the Scottish Government.
The Chief Engineer will be responsible for the supervision of a team of 23 staff over the Highlands & Islands Airports group, maintaining 30 fire appliances, a number of utility vehicles and a large variety of ancillary equipment including snowblowers, de-icers, generators, grass cutting equipment and fast rescue craft.
Preferably with experience of multi site operations, you will hold a CPC and qualifications in motor vehicle engineering. Additionally, you will have experience in managing budgets. The post involves occasional travel to the various sites and a flexible approach to maintaining equipment in what can occasionally be challenging environments.
