The position will involve working closely with users to help them acquire the right vehicles and equipment to do their jobs and to make it easy for them to keep them properly maintained and operational, whilst minimising down-time.
You will also be responsible for managing the operational depot which is shared with our waste contractor, Biffa, and other users.
Having recently completed a review of the service a number of modernisation and improvement opportunities to our processes have been identified which the post holder will lead on implementing. Therefore previous experience of using performance data to manage improvements will be important.
The position requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills and a thorough and up to date knowledge of road transport as well as substantial experience.You must have a positive and enthusiastic attitude to providing a high quality service to residents and be extremely customer focused.
