Due to the requirements, impacts and timescales of the upcoming Ultra Low Emission Zone and a number of operational improvements projects that are planned to be completed before the end of 2020 London Fire Brigade requires additional technical expertise and resource to complete a major modifications programme and a large quantity of fleet and equipment item replacements.
LFB have outsourced all vehicle and equipment services to Babcock Critical Services Ltd (the Contractor) who, amongst a wide range of managed services, are responsible for procuring assets and undertaking modifications
This post holder will work within the LFB FLEET team and closely with the Contractor and the end user representatives and provide output based specifications, oversee and progress assigned project workstreams, ensure the Contractor provides products that are compliant with LFB’s specified requirements, oversee implementation processes, assist other team members with their assigned project workstreams and provide progress monitoring reports.
Amongst your skills you will be expected to be self motivated, be an effective and supportive team player, provide up to date vehicle and mechanical technical expertise, project and workstream planning monitoring and governance, good analytical processes, contracted services commercial workings and report writing.
