The North East Ambulance Service Unified Solutions, part of the North East Ambulance Service Trust, is looking to recruit a talented, experienced professional to help embed and improve services to support the operations of a 24/7 urgent and emergency care transport service.
NEASUS is implementing a new venture, with a view to expanding the service and developing innovative business opportunities to generate income to plough back in to patients care and transport.
We are looking for an experienced Clinical Equipment and Hygiene Manager to take responsibility for overseeing the repair, testing, inspection and calibration of equipment used by Ambulance Operational staff in the delivery of patient care in the North East of England.
- You must ensure that all Equipment used in the treatment of patients is maintained to The Medical and Healthcare Products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) standards and respective equipment manufacturer’s requirements through effective planned maintenance schedules and detailed record keeping.
You will be required to proactively work with the Workshop and Compliance & Quality Control Managers to ensure that the scheduling of vehicles for maintenance and repair is coordinated with the need to manage the calibration and maintenance of equipment.
You will be required to work with the control of infection team to ensure effective and safe cleaning regimes are put in to place meet regulatory requirements.
Managing a team of around twenty of staff you will ensure that resource is effectively rostered and supported to deliver a high quality and efficient service in line with Operational requirements.
The successful candidate must have a full UK driving licence and will possess qualifications in medical equipment calibration and certification or have equivalent experience. You must have significant experience of regulation for testing and calibration of equipment and hygiene regulations and control of infection.
