Group Head of Technical - North East Scotland

We wish to appoint a Group Head of Technical who will be given the opportunity to join the Board in the short to medium term based on the achievement of agreed objectives. Reporting to the Managing Director and forming part of an experienced team, the focus of the role is to further develop the company's technical vision. In addition to leading the design office and engineering teams, you will be responsible for new product development from concept, through technical feasibility, project management and commercialisation. You will have built up an impressive technical leadership track record in large scale multi-process, high quality equipment manufacturing environments with an understanding of how fabricated structures are designed and manufactured. You are likely to be a graduate qualified engineer with possibly a post-graduate qualification. Extensive design experience and a sound understanding of design software such as AutoCAD or Pro-Engineer is also desired. Experience in the automotive industry, transport equipment or the manufacture of refrigerated trailers, heavy or specialist vehicles are all potentially interesting. You will be a strong team player, collaborative and passionate about quality and customer service and looking for a long term career opportunity.
