This position will be based in Aberlour, Scotland, and reports directly to the Main Board.
The candidate
You will be dynamic and resourceful, have an excellent working knowledge of DVSA standards and legislation and preferably be the holder of an International freight CPC. Your engineering skills will be well proven and you will have a flair for creativity. Preferred candidates will have at least 10 years of similar engineering practice at senior level in a similar industry. You must also be able to demonstrate a degree of budgetary knowledge.
You will have strong, demonstrable leadership and communication skills and have the ability to present at board level and customers alike. A proven track record of delivery is essential.
The Role
As Head of Engineering, you will be fully responsible for leading, supporting, service delivery and performance reporting of our engineering functions. This will extend to cover both the internal and external functions through manufacturers and service providers. The scope of the role also extends to Operator Licence responsibility to ensure that our fleet is maintained and operated in accordance with our undertakings.
