Fleet Maintenance Technician.

Post Number OPWP4030

37 Hours per week

Grade 6: £22,462 to £25,295 per year (plus 10% shift allowance)

Working on a diverse range of equipment this is a rewarding but challenging position for anyone who is open to change and is able to deal flexibly with fluctuating needs and demands. We operate 3 rolling shifts that cover the operational hours of 06:00 to 22:00 Monday to Thursday, and 06:00 to 21:00 Friday, with some overtime working by agreement.

We are looking for Technicians who are qualified, competent and enthusiastic. Delivering the highest quality service and with an ethos of “fix things first time, every-time” you should be qualified in a relevant motor vehicle engineering discipline, Light Vehicle, Heavy Vehicle, Plant or Agricultural. A DVSA Nominated Tester and / or IRTEC accreditation is also desirable.

You will need the ability to diagnose faults and identify the correct course of action in order to carry out a cost effective repair, working on a diverse fleet of vehicles as part of a team.

You will have the ability to work collaboratively and to influence the behaviour of others by modelling expected behaviours and values.

You will be able to identify, and adapt to change positively.

This is a physically demanding role, which requires the ability to undertake heavy lifting, sometimes in awkward positions and gaining access in and under large vehicles for repair.
