Arriva, part of the Deutsche Bahn group, is one of the largest transport services organisations in Europe, employing some 54,500 people and delivering more than 2.2 billion passenger journeys across 14 European countries every year.

An opportunity has arisen for a Quality Support Engineer to join our group engineering department. Reporting to the Head of Quality Assurance and working as part of a team this role will perform engineering quality monitoring and deliver quality support and training to Arriva's engineering departments to drive business improvements.

Key responsibilities of the role will be:

• Deliver engineering support to all Arriva businesses

• Engineering quality monitoring

• Provide specific training courses

• Provide technical expertise

• Formulate action plans to support business improvement

• Support new businesses and acquisitions

• Assist with the development & implementation of engineering policies

• Major incident support & investigation

You will also have:

• A proven competency within an engineering environment

• Possess excellent technical & diagnostic ability

• In depth knowledge of PCV industry

• The ability to evaluate engineering departments

• Create and monitor achievable action plans

• Exceptional communication skills (both written and verbal)

• The aptitude to use your own initiative to solve problems

• Capability to work unsupervised

• The ability to liaise effectively with colleagues

• Highly organized
