Metroline is one of London's major public transport providers with a fleet of over 1200 buses operating from a number of sites in the North West greater London area.
We are looking for a Technical Manager, who will control the management and coordination of vehicle Technical Support to all Metroline garages. Reporting to the Engineering Director, the Technical Manager will act as the Metroline point of contact for all external suppliers and stakeholders with regards to vehicle and component technical issues. The Technical Manager will also deputise for the Engineering Director on Technical Issues when nominated.
The ideal candidate should be a member of a recognised engineering body (such as IRTE, IMechE or IIE) and will possess:
• a sound engineering background in the maintenance/repair of passenger carrying or large goods vehicles
• the ability to prioritise workload to meet deadlines
• a sound knowledge of vehicle types, maintenance procedures and relevant VOSA legislation
• an engineering qualification to at least an NVQ level 4 or equivalent This position offers a competitive salary, free travel on London Buses and Underground and other benefits.
