Our business is growing, and as a result, we are inviting applications for the new position of Trimshop Manager at one of the largest bus repair & refurbishing companies in the country.
In recent years Hants & Dorset Trim has expanded into the largest bus repair & refurbishment company in the country. Employing 75 staff, Hants & Dorset Trim is a significant and successful player in the bus refurbishing market with a reputation for quality & service delivery. As the Trimshop Manager you will play a significant and highly accountable role in our successful operation.
We are looking for an experienced manager to take on a new role of Trimshop Manager with day today responsibility for the Trimshop. If you believe you have the ability, experience, skills and leadership potential we are looking for, we will be very interested to hear from you.
Your main responsibilities in this role will include:
• Planning and managing the Trimshop to deliver the highest possible standards of achievement
• Managing the performance and productivity of a supervisor and workshop staff
• Allocating and prioritising work and materials to meet completion dates
• Ensuring all jobs are completed within budget
• Implementing and managing a job recording system
• Ensuring compliance with Health and Safety Regulations
• Liaising with customers, suppliers and contractors
• Liaising with stores staff to ensure material requirements are met
You will be an experienced manager with a strong background in managing staff in a manufacturing environment. You will need to be proactive in your approach to this role with a desire to ensure maximum productivity and quality whilst also meeting the financial targets. Ideally you will have practical experience of working within the bus or commercial vehicle industry. Both knowledge of work study techniques, familiarity with engineering IT support systems and experience with seating and upholstery would be a distinct advantage.
